Prospero’s Books is this wonderful bookstore located in the Westport area of Kansas City, MO. It had an awesome old school vintage vibe on the main floor, with rolling ladders and all. The top floor feels like a cozy coffee shop, just currently without the coffee. A great place to work, read, listen to music, and of course, take photos. And then there’s the bottom floor, a basement turned into more space for even more books. Every little nook and cranny is filled to the brim with books. However, my favorite part is the unfinished wood beams throughout the basement, full of the musings of the store’s many patrons. I could get lost in this bookstore for hours. And I never would have discovered this gem without Kate recommending this as our photo shoot location!
Kate reached out to me on Instagram wanting to collaborate. We quickly picked out a shoot date, and I was going to do some location scouting to figure out the where. I’m so happy that Kate recommended Prospero’s Books! The minute I stepped into the store I fell in love, and it was the perfect backdrop for the style of shoot that I was wanting. Kate matched the vintage style of the shop perfectly, and I think we created some pretty awesome images! Take a look for yourself, and let me know what you think in the comments!
