Second shoot for SportingStyle, this time featuring Sporting Kansas City soccer player Gerso Fernandes sporting the Adidas Parley MLS 2019 jersey. The Parley kits are made of plastic waste collected from around the world, and are worn during the weekend of Earth Day to promote eco-friendly living. We did this photo shoot inside the Bloch Building at the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art in Kansas City. The artwork featured in the background is Dususa I, 2007, by El Anatusi, made of found aluminum and copper wire. This piece of art worked perfectly for this shoot, both in meaning and in aesthetic. I also played around with using a glass prism to reflect the artwork, creating a more dynamic and colorful image.
