Back in February, I participated in the RAW Artists KC event, and had a giveaway for a free session with A.N.D. Photos. Andrew & Becky were the lucky winners! They wanted to wait until the weather was warmer to do the session, so we finally got it scheduled at the end of May. I was so happy that these two won the giveaway! Through social media I discovered that they are also Minnesotans at heart, and had just also recently moved to Kansas City. Along with that, they both work in creative industries. They also seemed so genuinely excited and nice, I couldn’t wait to photograph them!
I’ve been wanting to shoot in the Crossroads for a long time, and I was excited to finally shoot there for this session. The day of our shoot was supposed to be one of the hottest yet, so I made sure to include a stop for ice cream during the middle of the shoot to give us a break from the heat and to have a nice treat.
We met outside Thou Mayest and got the session kicked off. Andrew & Becky were just as awesome and nice as I expected, and they were so cute and goofy together! Their love for each other emanated from them, and made my job of capturing it so easy!
We shot at a couple of my favorite places around the Crossroads, and then made our way to Town Topic to get some shakes. If you’ve never had a shake from there, you are definitely missing out. It made for some fun photos too! Overall this whole shoot was tons of fun, and I had such a great time hanging out with these two. I’m looking forward to the next time I see them, perhaps in Minnesota!
